![]() ![]() The procs get GT1 and GT2 integrated graphics units (ninth generation of Intel's integrated graphics chips) and that indicates a fourth gen Skylake architecture. The drivers list CML processors, which is the abbreviation for Comet Lake in Intel's nomenclature. The discovery was made as some entries surfaced in Linux drivers now another infusion of Skylake architecture is mentioned for the first time. To avoid any confusion, these are being produced at 14 nanometers. The decacore proc will follow the Core i9 9900K, and is a modified version of the Skylake architecture. Besides AVX, Intel is including the newer AVX2 standard, too, but not AVX-512.New pending desktop processors from Intel under codename Comet Lake-S, seem to get a maximum of 10 cores. Programs using Advanced Vector Extensions (AVX) will run on this processor, boosting performance for calculation-heavy applications. Additionally, IOMMU virtualization (PCI passthrough) is supported, so that guest virtual machines may directly use host hardware. Hardware virtualization is available on the Core i5-9400F, which greatly improves virtual machine performance. This processor does not have integrated graphics, you will need a separate graphics card. For communication with other components in the computer, Core i5-9400F uses a PCI-Express Gen 3 connection. The highest officially supported memory speed is 2666 MHz, but with overclocking (and the right memory modules) you can go even higher. Intel's processor supports DDR4 memory with a dual-channel interface. With a TDP of 65 W, the Core i5-9400F consumes typical power levels for a modern PC. The multiplier is locked on Core i5-9400F, which limits its overclocking capabilities. Intel is building the Core i5-9400F on a 14 nm production process, the transistor count is unknown. Core i5-9400F has 9MB of 元 cache and operates at 2.9 GHz by default, but can boost up to 4.1 GHz, depending on the workload. It is part of the Core i5 lineup, using the Coffee Lake Refresh architecture with Socket 1151. The Intel Core i5-9400F is a desktop processor with 6 cores, launched in January 2019. ![]()
